CLIMATE :
Roma is situated in the mediterranean therefore:
-The weather in Rome during summer is uncomfortably hot, temperatures often exceeding 35C at midday.
-Mid-winter is mild, the average temperature in December hovering around 13C.
-The best time to travel to Rome is in springtime.
-Rain showers are possible any time of year.
-Fog is uncommon, the temperature is mild.
-Rainfalls is concentrated in the fall and winter seasons.
-The well-known "ponentino," the local name of the sea breeze.
GETTING AROUND:
Transport in Rome is fairly straightforward. There are two Metro lines, Linea A (red) and Linea B (blue), which cross at Termini, the main railway station.
Beware of pickpockets.
There are also buses and trams.
The urban transport buses are most used in the city of Rome.
With 241 lines, almost 3,000 buses and 159 trams, urban transport system in Rome is the largest in the country.
An invaluable resource is a public transport map.
ENTERTAINMENT:
The city has an opera house, the Teatro dell'Opera and a reasonable number of smaller theatres, also nightclubs, bars, literary cafes, football matches and many more evening activities.
However, there are also occasional musicals, dance shows etc.
The town offers indeed all kind of events, festivals and shows. The offers are various: from the World music festival in Villa Ada ( one of the city parks) to the Villa Celimontana Jazz Music Festival, from the Gay Village( it has concerts, nightclubs, a cinema festival and its location changes every year) to Fiesta. And that’s not it: there are many open air cinemas, opera and classical music events( usually held at the Caracalla Thermal Baths) and every kind of events, also sport ones.

-Pasta “al dente” .
-Thin crust pizzas.
-Toscana Meat.
